Citizen Web Portal and Mobile App are part of this project. It will be useful for citizens to access government services in digital form. Through these, people can make complaints. The concerned personnel in charge will intervene to resolve it in a timely manner; Otherwise the complaint will be forwarded to the above officer.
Citizens can make complaints directly about water dumping, lack of lighting in the columns, illegal constructions, hygiene and waste disposal. For people who don’t have the technology, the facility can be availed through Akshaya centers, the chief minister said.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the integrated command-control-communication center and solar project would facilitate the service sector more transparent and effective. The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating the projects online.
This would put the activities of various government departments under one umbrella. It is made possible by interconnecting different departments with technology. The GIS system records all the city’s assets. In turn, interactive web-maps help to map out what needs to be done in relation to traffic, road network and public health structures. CSML has installed Kochi Smart Mission Solar Power Plants on top of 28 government buildings. The project aims to generate 14.6 lakh units of pollution-free energy a year. In Kochi, the power bills of government institutions could be reduced and carbon pollution can be reduced by a thousand tons. This is equivalent to the benefit of planting 5400 trees. CM said that we have achieved a major achievement in non-conventional energy generation.
